What is the maximum sqft EDR capacity for a 11/2" blk pipe used as a horizontal main in a two pipe steam system? All of the charts that I can find goes only down to 2".

When I put my books together
I couldn't find any charts from any of the Deadmen books that showed lower than 2". I still haven't found any. Wish I could put a number on it.Retired and loving it.0 -
Dan, It seems that this was the system of choice in this area at the time. There are many of these systems piped the same way, and from what I have been told was installed by the same plumber, which is not alive. This is a two pipe air vent system with Young and Trane convectors. The headers off the boilers are 3" then are reduced to 11/2" mains. The systems do have a main vent on both mains also vents on all convectors. With the help of your book EDR I came up with a total SqFt. EDR of 235 Sq.ft EDR. As you have stasted in your books there is always some new twist on these systems. The systems work great.0
