Rigid Pro-Press on baseboard copper

Can you use the pro press tool on baseboard copper? From my own experiance in taking apart joints after pressing, it never seems to crimp the actual copper at all, just the fitting itself, so my gut is telling me yes, but I'm cuirious if the thin walled copper used on baseboard wouldn't agree with the crimping method used in the pro press system. Any input is appreciated...

If its normal.....
sized (1/2-3/4) pipe, I don't see a problem. Like you said, pipe size is pipe size. The jaw of the tool can't crush any more than the top going together.
I've used it on a couple of freeze-ups this winter with no problems. The other advantage is when you just can't get the water to stop,no worries about it rolling back when the solder is ready to be put in the joint. Chris0 -
We used it alot
We use it alot for Baseboard on small loops. On long loops or multi-story use a vent elbow for bleeding in the future. I havn't had a leak yet and we have been using it since September.
Good Luck,
