Aquastat selection?

I'm having a new Burnham V84 oil-fired water boiler installed with an indirect water heater (SuperStor Ultra 45). I would like to use an aquastat control that can be configured for either warm-start or cold-start. I have found some literature about the Honeywell L7124U, which has a Low-Limit set point control that can be disabled. Apparantly this is not the typical capillary bulb type sensor that Honeywell has sold for years, but rather uses an electronic sensor (perhaps thermocouple or thermistor?). I have found very little discussion about this product's performance and reliability in these type forums. Does anyone have any experience and/or recommendations (good or bad) with respect to this aquastat? I'm particularly looking for information about reliability and accuracy.
Thanks in advance

Lots of
setpoint or aquastats using thermistors theses days, as opposed to the old cap tube type of temperature sensors.
I have not used the Honeywell brand but I have used Ranco, Goldline, Johnson Control, Heat Timer, tekmar, Penn. These are all brands that offet thermistor type controls. They are a bit more flexible and adjustable than cap tube type.
Most have digital read outs, adjustable differential, and allow up to 500 feet of lead to the thermistors.
You should be fine with that Honeywell. Read the directions A little more set up required compared to the dial type capillary controls.

R7124U
Although the initial controls had a few glitches when they came out a few years ago, the current generation has proven reliable and it's versitiliby can't be beat.0
