We have a young man working for us who I have started putting out on his own. He started about three years ago with us with some commercial plumbing experience but no heating.
This is a nice little job I had him do. I layed it out for him and told him what we were doing and off he went. This is a 80M munchkin and a Super-Stor 30 gallon. Nice products HTP.
This is a little cottage where Once Again we were given a little closet to work. They wanted radiant but we needed supplemental. The house is on pillars and I did'nt want to do a two stage that would sit idle for awhile and have a freezing problem, so I designed a Buderus panel for the lower temp of the floor and had Jim run it just under the climate panel to keep it warm.
I think for a young guy he has a lot of potential. I'll show you more of his work as he does it. The radiant tubing need to be a little neater but that will be next time.

The Kid is good
How old is Jim ? Looks like he's been around a while with all the intricate piping . Did he do the wiring also ? Very tricky and very well done .0 -
Good job kid..................

Nice!
Nice piping job. Although I must ask. Can the boiler be removed without removing the indirect? NJ code dictates that you must be able to remove the largest piece of equipment without disturbing the surrounding equipment or structure. Now as I see in the picture, it doesn't appear that he had much choice. I must say he does neat work, I just think ya gotta give em MORE ROOM.. I'm thinking RAISE for that lad. BOC0 -
i hope he stays in the trade.

Thanks Guys
I'll show these comments to Jim, I am sure he will appreciate it.
HR that is a 8 inch probe.
That was all the room they gave us. I thought long and hard about how to do this job with the space they gave us. They wanted a 20 gallon electric hot water heater under the stairs. "Its just a shower" and my favorite " Thats all we had down in the carribean ".
Thanks guys
Scott

Hey Ron
You'll have to meet Jim some day, he's at least your size if not bigger. A couple of times he had to back out slowly.

Haha
Backout slowly , and hope noones behind you . That reminds me of a time when I was working with Chris P. Chicken . The guy is 6 foot 4 , over 300 lbs , and we were installing a boiler under the stairs . My other partner Bobby was the joker of the company . He filled Chris's pants pocket with acetylene and lit it - while he was under the stairs . The bang was tremendous , and Chris jumped so hard his head went though the rock ceiling . It was cruel but the funniest thing I ever saw .0 -
Nice peice of work lad meets my approval and that hard to do
