Boiler re-pipe finished

made in my garage weeks ago. I finally got to finish the job. Works great. I used a Wirsbo 311 boiler control, (same as Tekmar 364) The mixing loop runs an old cast iron radiators left over from a gravity system once upon a time. I have the top temp down to 130 and the t/stat is still satifying even through those low temps we've had over the last 3 weeks. I just pu on an indoor feedback sesor so the reset curve can take care of itself. The other zones are and indirect and 2 high temp loops. One for the basement and one for a sun porch, both run off zone valves that open and activate the high temp part of the boiler control. The customer should save a lot of money and is already way more comfortable now that his big rads aren't overshooting the tstat anymore. WW

Looks great....! I'm assuming your indirect is ran with priority....Your Primary / Secondary is very clear. Trying to learn as much as I can for an upcoming installation. A picture speaks a 1000 words.0 -
i like the insulation.what is it?

The insulation
is just fiberglass with a white jacket. The elbows are plastic pre-formed to cover fibergalss wrapped ells. It's basically commercial pipe insulation. S'not cheap either. WW

Sharp eye Mark
The chimney needs a liner. The customer knows this is so. The boiler is about 25 years old and has induced draft. I don't think the codes required them back when it was installed. He is weighing the choice of a new boiler, (maybe a munchkin?) But he is out of money for now. Now that the boiler is running at lower temps on reset, it becomes more critical that a choice be made soon. WW
