After a grueling 2.5 hour session between local plumbers and our city council, it appears they may be willing to abolish the onerous $100.00 soldering fee and either eliminate or reduce the outrageous increases in license and permit fees.
So, meeting #2 is behind us with several more to go! This will be a war won by gaining inches instead of large leaps.
Lot's of positive interaction tonight.

Speaking from experience, the "Fram Filter" slogan will be applied here.

New prez ticket
Does this mean a Mad Dog/Yatesy ticket? Wow.0 -

Steam heat in every home!
That's the ticket we're running on! A number of people are seriously asking that I consider running for Mayor. Just shows to go ya that there's lots of kooks running around loose on our streets(G). If I didn't have about four real jobs, I'd take that bull by the horns and give York City politics one hell of a shake-up. Might not win either an election or friends (except for the nuts), but the truth would out and we'd turn the good ole boy network on its ear.
Watch CNBC tomorrow. They're coming to York Central Market & won't tell us why (I'm pres of the board there). Planning to do several interviews at 10 AM, so they said. They're driving up from VA. Bush will be in Harrisburg, so maybe he's coming to shop for fresh farm-to-market goodies.

That's
President Bush, Mr. Yates. :-))0 -
Here now
I figured that if I placed those two words together, they'd set off a secret service alarm and I'd find myself staring into a very bright light about 3 AM tomorrow morning trying to 'splain why or how I knew he'd be in Central Market tomorrow(G). Shhhhh.
Bear in mind our ex-guv is in charge of Homeland Security.
