Hey munchkin man

Why does the munchkin require a minimum 3/4" gas line? Especially on lp gas. In my mind a btu is a btu. Thats what the factory wants so it's cool by me. I did a change out today on lp. There was a bunch of 1/2' soft copper. I was going to change it to 3/4" csst but I went to 1" because that's what I had in stock. thank you

To ensure enough volume of gas can go to the unit
If piping say an 80,000 80M with a short peice of 1/2" ID pipe you would still have plenty of gas however the lenght has a limitthat if exceeded the rate will drop off quickley, and we have found it better to be safe. See instructions are like the speed limit. If we say 55 mph most contractors will go 70 mph. We like to keep the odds in your and our favor. Buy the way our manual references the lenghts vrs sise and shows you the btu's available. Thanks0
