    We rolled in last night. The fire was just down the street. No one was hurt. No worries. Thanks.

    Saw it twice...

    Real close up, from that traffic circle by the Central Ave. overpass. The bridge was completely immersed in the tallest flames I've ever seen! Thought we had made it past the commotion before the traffic got really backed up - then my wife discovered she left her pocketbook at work and we had to go back. Of all the days! Amazing no one was killed.

    Thank goodness for the snow.

    Thousands of people use the running/biking path that goes along the Bethpage Parkway, and right under that bridge. I did all my marathon training on that path. Had it been free of ice and snow there would have been people on it.
