Believe it or not, that iceberg is worth it's weight in gold. (Well maybe not gold, more like gas)

    What you are seeing

is the prime reason to ALWAYS get as much ground clearance as possible. In really cold weather you will wee significant ice build-up on DV appliances. You should send that pic to John at HTP. Nicely symetrical iceberg! BTW, tell the home owner to go out and push it over if it gets to high.

    ice

I had one like that last year. The crawl-space was unheated and the slope was backwards.I called the installer over and showed him how to check his level-he has a new one now. We insulated the exhaust pipe in the C/S-All OK. To be fair it was an 18" crawl-space at it's highest and he was working alone. When you looked at the floor joists it appeared to be sloped properly-very old house.

    Are those pitching

back towards the unit? I usually only encounter this where the vent is run level or pitches away from the unit. More is better for pitch. 1/4" per foot, back towards the appliance is the minimum recomended by htp. Paul.
