I've read about how opening a closed system for flushing and cleaning a system actually exposes system to more oxygen causing even more rapid corrosion and system failure. Is that true?

If the following is done NO
If the system is cleaned first and then treated with an inhibitor, that also includes an oxygen scavenger; the answer is no.
Our cleaner not only removes corrosion and disperses sludge so that it can be flushed, but it passivates the metals. The passivated metals are then protected until our treatment product can scavenge the oxygen and inhibit new corrosion. It also helps to control pH and inhibits scale.
Both of these products were specifically formulated for use in hydronic systems. They are both safe with the various metals found in hydronic systems. We know our products work well in hydronic systems, because of the feed back we get from users of our two products. As with many areas in our lives, new hi-tech products like ours are becoming the answer to complicated problems.0 -
