solving a 2 month air promblem

Just thought i'de post this yesterday a new custermer called complaining about air promblems and noise from her nasebord and no heat in her bedrooms a split return .I went to the home started the unit and heard the noise myself the home owner replyed that her other oil co had bleed the system 2 weeks early i said maybe they didn't do it right they replyed the gentleman filled a bucket and said it was fine.I proceded to un roll my hose set it in a bucket in her bath tub after 20 minutes of bleed and alot of air burping i removed the air ,the home owner asked if i was bleeding it right because every body else just filled the bucket i really didn't say much. I started there unit figuring that i could just set the purge vale flap a little closed to divert more cicrulation to the bed as the supply got hotter i happened to touch a 3/4 linre that feed the 1 st floor slab .When i noticed that it was red hot and the zone was not calling i then closed the water feeder and noticed the pressure dropping,i then followed out the baseboard and piping to see where it went in the slab and there it was a 3/4 line coming out of the slab hot right into the ground.I shut the boiler off and drain her cut to ball valveds in and re bleed the system holds pressure and no more noise. The other company where there off and on for 2 months and told these people that all the noise where normal and there was nothing they could do .I know i,m not to bright but why was i thje only guy that noticed the pressure drop and the migrating heat into thre basement zone when there was no call for heat like i said i'm not that smart .I really don't understand the state the service business is in are thjere really that many people stupider then i out there.P>S> all that make up water did no good for the boiler the feeder could barely keep up with the leak it is a all copper job and the rust when bleeding that exited my hose was kind of amazing ,i would think that this really may compromse the boiler i would say they where leaking about 2 gallons a minute for about 2 months also we now have this new custermer who is extremly pleased with our company being this was there first service and the promblem is solved while the other co did nothing except tell her she was crazy. We are a very small co 3 service tech the other gu8y is huge and buying every oil co in the area they just burned down a home on friday filling the wrong home and the oil became inginated by a gas hot water heater.God luck and be a dective

There was a time I did not know to look for a slab leak .When it's not in your face someone has to teach ya. On my own for thirty years and I'am still learning. Feels good to find a on going problem, does'ant it
With the fire ? Did someone cut out a tank and left the fill lines in place ?0
