Zoning

I would like some advise on zoning a residential boiler with 3 zones. One for priority water tank and two hydro air systems. Would like to know whether to use a 007 taco circulator for each zone or one B & G 100 circulator and 3 honeywell zone valves. Not concerned with price difference just performance.

What are the flow....
requirements needed for each zone? It is hard to go wring w/ 3 seperate pumps(i like the Grundfos 15-58)or the 007FC are ok. Some air handlers need a lot of flow... ie.6gpm.You might not get that w/ a series 100 under design temps... kpc

The flow is the....
most important thing here.
I would go with three pumps and make sure you size them for flow and head loss through the coils.
Your indirect might also need a larger pump than a 007 to get the proper preformance.
good luck,

The correct
method would be to look at the spec sheet for the tank and hydro coils. They will give you the gpm and pressure drop specs, from which you size the circs.
Possibly on circ for the indirect for max performance, and a second circ and zone valves, would be a possibility.

Taco 007
Taco, circulator is half the cost of the B&G 100. More importantly, no maintenance is required on the 007-F5. Additionally, an attribute of the Taco, 007 is changing the cartridge only, as opposed to changing the whole pump, should the pump fail prematurely. Please advise, if you require additional assistance.
