Looks like a simple controll touse and will check pricing this week at our supplier...How do your customers like it?
How does it hold up in the real world?? Thanks Richard

    Yes,

I have installed a couple and they work well. They are a simple outdoor reset control and are priced well. I took the board out of the enclosure to take a closer look at it once and the chip on the backside of the board that contains the 'brains' has a tekmar label on it. Interesting, huh?

    Using one on my boiler

I put one on my weil mclain boiler at the start of the season. It works pretty well and does what is advertised. For the price I consider it a good value, but if you need more bells and whistles, the tekmar may provide what is needed. (that does come at a price - you don't get what you don't pay for. (line borrowed from a frequent poster here)). I have noticed a slight decrease in gas usage from same period last year with colder outside temps. Want more info, please ask.

    The reset curve

is a one-size-fits-all approach. You can vary the outdoor-low and the boiler-max but balance point which is assumed at 70 degrees. The fixed 70 degree WWSD is a drawback also. Most reasonably insulated houses will do better with a sub-60 degree WWSD temp. The reset ratio is also not adjustable. In summary, you are lucky if the reset curve matches your structure. The DHW priority works well but then it has no post purge option.
