I'm faced with more applications for 25 to 35mbtuh boilers. The wholesaler response is "that's a water heater load". I don't spec water heaters when asked for boilers. Is anyone making an atmospheric vent, natural gas boiler for apartments? Thanks, Dan

I have seen
a small Enerjet boiler at a local supply house. I think the ratings go way down and it is a very small boiler in weight and size. Never put one in yet.

The Ultra 80...
will mod. down to 16....also the Munchkin T-50
with either one, you still have extra poop for future exp. or that really bad cold snap.0 -
Small Boiler
At that size is electric an option for your customers? If so, the Thermolec even provides for outdoor reset. They have 5, 6 (24 mbtuh), 8, 9, 10 (32 mbtuh) and 15 KW units all in these smaller sizes. If my heat load were that low, I wouldn't think twice about going that route. Before everyone starts freaking out, in Ontario the cost per effective btu is fairly flat between oil, natural gas and electric.0 -

Several
Crown Aruba @ 26K net and the Burnham Series2 @ 27K net, are both small cast iron 80% AFUE boilers. Wall hungs like the BAXI Lunna start at 24K output and Takagi has a 20K min unit also.0 -
Thanks all
Monday I'll get further than the counter. Many thanks, Dan

Good size
The little trinity, baby munchkin and variety of instant combos are great for direct vent apps. This is my third multi apartment setup with this customer and he's looking for hi-temp/low capitol cost/natural draft. The little Slant/Fin or Burnham are looking good for this go round feeding Slant/Fin 43 baseboards. Thanks, Dan
