hot water baseboard heaters run off a gas boiler in a single-family residence.

that

ball valve is ot cpvc, it's straight pvc.

the problem is that pcv can't handle the high temps of hot water, cpvc can. not sure about from a boiler, but I have seen lots of it coming directly off water heaters set at the highest temp (150??).

Kevin is right, contact the manufacturer, they can tell you better than anyone.
