thermocouple failure

or hitting the thermocouple too low, you will burn them up. The thermocouple should be a dull red at most and the flame should hit the top 3/8 to 1/2 inch.

    thermocouples.

thermocouple failure, last one lasted one week the one before one year, where can I buy a heavy duty one for a slant-fin gg125 hot water boiler. Thanks, Jack.

a nickel plated high ambient temperature thermocouple Model # K16RA. I would suggest also as Boilerpro has posted to make sure pilot is adjusted correctly. I would also do a combustion analysis to determine if you are having a poor combustion condition.

    Too high

Slant fin used to mount their pilots very low because of the high combustion zone temps overheating the pilots. Check to see if some one remounted the pilot only on the top screw hole therby extending the thermocouple too highand causing overheating
