Boiler Guy

When using primary secondary pumping does the boiler loop have to be connected into the bottom of a horizontal only or can it be connected with the proper spacing in a vertical riser?
BTW Did you read about my Knuckle head special in the Are we having fun yet post last week?
Thanks Tim
