outdoor boiler & outdoor reset

Im wondering if its possible to use an outdoor reset with an outdoor wood fired boiler. Iwill try to explain how i want to set it up hopefully i'm not to deslexic that you won't understand. The boiler water is going to cycle through a amtrol boilermate and back to the woodstove. From the b40 gal boilermate the hot domestic water will go into the cold side of a 40 gal electric water heater which should give me a good supply of hot water. From the electric water heater i'm going to feed another boilermate using the heat exchanger to keep dhw sepatate from hydronic water.What would be better a 40 or 26 gal tank for buffer and heat exchange, the price is very close but i wonder if i need that much hot water for floors during the shoulder seasons when i may be using electric water heater only. I'm using slab heat in the basement and warmboard on the main flr. The heatloss isn't very great,around 40000 btu. Anyway would this setup benifit from an outdoor reset and if it did where would it be placed and what exactly would it control.

I kind of thought solid-fuel boilers ALL have reset--YOU and how big you build the fire and how much draft you allow it!0 -

ya got stock in Amtrol? Is your OWF an open type, non pressurized?
A method I use on non pressurized units is to separate the OWF from the "system" with a flat plate HX.
Use the HX as a primary loop. From this, feed into your heating and dhw loads.
I use the long tube heat exchangers and a basic electric water heater tank. This gives you the option of electric hot water production. Cheaper than an indirect tank, and works as well.
Then your hot water coil or baseboard, or radiant via a mix valve can be fed.
Generally OWF's are large water content and don't need additional buffer tanks.
The main operating control for OWF's is a means to cutoff the air supply. Usually a damper and/ or an inducer fan. A setpoint controls operates these. You best performance is had by burning a HOT fire.
I'm not sure for the cost that a reset control would be to much advantage. It would have some control on the water temperature, but the hotter you run the OWF the more BTU's you will store. You will need to run at least 140° to produce the DHW you need.

I should have asked this question a while ago but since i'm now the proud owner of a boilermate i'll go that way.i've looked at both plate heat exchanger and indirect for radiant,the price difference isn' all that great but a buck is a buck so i'll go with the flat plate one. I also thought of the tube type,around here they call them sidearms but with a whirlpool i figured the extra hot water capacity would be worth it. In hindsight maybee i should have just bought another elec. one. Thanks for your help0
