Can anybody tell me who makes gas boilers for YORK??

    York Boilers

    There are two Companies with the name York. Both were located in York, Pa. York-Shipley made commercial-industrial boilers for many years, although they made residential boilers through the 1960's They made all the boilers for Levitt & Sons in Levittown, Pa. (almost 18,000 of them!)and I'm pretty sure they made for Levittown,NY.as well as some for Levittown(Willingboro)NJ. This tabletop boiler was desingned by one of Levitt's engineers and built by York-Shipley.The company changed hands many times and as far as I know the name is still active in the Great Lakes Area. York International (once owned by Borg-Warner) Makes Hvac equipment, but does not manufacture it's own boilers. It has from time to time marketed boilers under the York name, but they have been manufactured by others including Dunkirk Boilers of New York State. Hope this helps. Ken D.
