I have two questions. First Dan speaks of drips in staem line could some one explain what they are to a lay men? and second In his book a fist full of Steam Problems With Solutions he mentions Victorian era radiator covers, does anyone have a source for more information on material design or other?

Drips
Drips are a section of pipe work ,needed in the system where condensate would lay. It gives the condensate a way back to the boiler .0
