    two pipe steam question

i have a job in a small apartment building with two pipe steam.the job is only in one of the apartments and basically entails removal and replacement of all the steam traps, all the shut off valves(to be replaced with dan foss valves)and a few of the radiators are going to be replaced also.i don't believe there are any main shutoff valves for that particular apartment or floor.my question is,if i get the entire building steam shutdown and remove all radiators, steam traps and existing radiator valves, can i just valve off at the supply to all the radiators, mid way between floor and location of new danfoss valves and then have the system turned back on without affecting the rest of the building heating system?if so ,would a standard full port ball valve be acceptable in this application?any responses are greatly apprieciated.

    That should work fine

as long as the valves are rated for steam.
