Radiant Leaking

helium leak detection works well for finding leaks. The system is charged with helium and sniffed with a device that can detect the leak to within 12". There should be companies who provide this service in your locale. Try the yellow pages under leak detection.

    radiant leaking

Does any one have any idea on how to find a radiant leak in the floor. It is Wirsbo tubing that is in gypcrete. I've pressurized the system to 160 psi and dont hear anything, we also used an infared camera system to try and find pools of water or hot spots but no avail. We still lose pressure after a few days. It will go from 12 to 5 psi

If this is a operating slab system, I would think that if its gypcrete, and the slab is leaking, you would find wet spots somewhere. At least enough to narrow it down some. By any chance are there any carpet tack strips, nailed into a tube some where?
Small leaks around a manifold or boiler?

    Let the cat find it.

Put a cat in the room and put the zone on. They will go to the warmest part of the floor and lay down. Theres your leak.
