Scott- Sounds great
Scott, I know it is early, but with the RPA and ISH together I'm sure there are going to be more people next year. So maybe it is a good idea to find someplace that will hold alot of people.

Don't know if this
Would be possible , but my first thought would be a bus trip for REAL fried clams, fish, and for those with deep pockets LOBSTA !!!
Could we rent a bus or have a caravan ?
Just throwing this out.

I was
Thinking Woodmans in Essex. Eat-in-the-rough, fried clams, Lobta, Butta, cold beer.
If we left early enough maybe a quick tour of Gloucester, man at the wheel statue, for those not from the area ?
This could be a blast.

Count us in. The bus sounds best.0 -
A bus
is fairly inexpensive to rent for an evening. Save lots of hassle. Everyone arrives on time, and most importantly home safely. Kinda of fun too!
Get a big one!

Boston Trip
There are lotsa places here in Bahstn (sic) and we should get busses for a dinner trip. Woodman's in Essex is one of the best clam shacks in the area. As you have heard, traffic in Boston is legendary and you will have no fun at all if you are trying to follow someone in front of you to get to where you are going. Please let me know if you need help planning this trip, I'd be glad to be a tour guide. Merry Christmas to the Holohan's and all of the Wallies!0 -
Woodmans
I live about 8 miles from Woodmans and am going to try and set this up. I will be calling out for assistants as this get closer.
Ahhh Woodmans ,,, changing the oil we call it.

Just checking on the Wallie dinner. I know it is early but it might be a good idea to figure out just how many people are going.

I thought
About having a clam bake outside at a Chowdahouse in my home town, but the weather could be iffy in October.
Beside then Murph and Hunt would ne closer to knowing where I live.

Here check this out
Here's the place I was thinking about. We could rent a bus from Boston and head out on Saturday afternoon. For those not from the area this would be a taste of a real clam bake.
