steam ??

Hey all, got a question regarding end of main vent, have a long main, appx 600ft to end, at the end there was a small 3/4 trap, changed this to f&t trap, this is at the very end of system. I would also think it may be a good idea to put a Gordon #2 or Hoffman #? vent at this point also. Right now the only thing that will get the steam to move is the F&T at this point and I wonder if this will be fast enough venting to the return. Any comments appreciated. Thanks Tim.

The F&T should be plenty
Steam in the returns can hold it closed, though, and would do the same thing to an air vent. Check for 200° return piping.
Are there any water loop seals in the return piping that would prevent air from moving through them to get to the vent?
