one-pipe to two-pipe

would it be permissible to convert a one-pipe system or a portion of it to a two-pipe. Would it be alright to keep the same size mains and radiator supply piping? Also, if the one-pipe system was operating on 10ozs. pressure or less, would the new two-pipe system need to have a 28" "A" dimension? Thank You Very much. Please Reply

If you do this
you can retain the current air-vent setup. Just make sure your radiator return lines drop below the boiler's water level before they connect together, or steam may get into the returns and cause banging. The "A" dimension will remain the same.
But I've found one-pipe steam can work very well. Why the interest in changing to 2-pipe?
