Pictures of latest radiant project

Here is a Varible Speed Injection Mixing System. It has a baseboard loop comming off of the primary loop. It is wired and running. It is a retrofit project. We installed Dale Pickards plates from Radiant Engineering. The heat transfer is incredible. Dale makes a great product! We ended up reducing the design temperature by a good amount because the plates are so good.

John, Your a 3 D Artist extrodinare
John,
You have reached multi-media sculptor status. Nice Box!!! Just curious, how did you end up useing a box instead of a typical flat surface? You better not cover that up!!! I like the way you routed oval penetrations for your manifold connections from the back.
You forgot to tell us JUST HOW MUCH you enjoy using Dale Pickard's plates;-)
Definately submit this one to the RPA for the Boston showcase.
As we say around Heah,,, PISSA.,, WICKED PISSA WORK PALLIE.

Nice
What type of manifold is that , how well does the flow meters work upside down?0 -
John,
Great looking work! Why the Spirovent on the manifold side of the system? I also like the added touch ogf the flow valves.

One Flow Valve
Jamie,
There is only one flow valve, on the primary loop. The baseboard loop has zone valves that are not shown in the picture. On the injection loop I have a combo flow meter and balence valve unit. It works great for balencing the injection loop. I received it from Rahau.

Wirsbo Manifolds
Gary,
It is a Wirsbo manifold and Wirsbo tubing. They work great upside down. Makes for a easier and neater install. I've done it a few times before with good results.
Don't send hot water through though. The gaskets leak at high temperatures. I once piped a system with these manifolds and the system had radiators. I ran the boiler temps at 180 degrees. All of the gaskets leaked. I called Wirsbo and they told me not to run the system past 165 degrees. I asked why they didn't mention it in the instructions? They said that the manifolds at that time were new, and they only recently discovered the problem. I turned the temperature down in the system. Luckly I installed a boiler bypass in the original repipe. I adjusted the bypass to keep the boiler a little hotter then the system and everything worked fine after that.

Hi Gary
Hi Gary,
Thanks for the comments. Are you going to Boston next year? I am. I would imagine you are since you live out there now. Hope to see you there.

Spirovent........
Jamie,
The spirovent on the primary loop gets everything. I like to add a spirovent on the secondary loop sometimes to. It makes for faster purging, most of the time without even a hose.
