and Im still having fun "tweaking" and fine tuning my new steam system. Can't wait for it to get bone cold again so I can hear this baby purr..and I am very sure I will see a difference in my gas bills as the old steamer ran for about 1 1/2 hours before I got heat..this baby does it in under 10 mins from a cold start!

truly appreciates what we do....................................
Just finished up a nice little steam boiler for a real gent that found us via Find a professional. The guy is a working stiff like you and me, yet he went for a deluxe installation and EVEN TIPPED US!!!!!!This is Jimmy the Gent with his new Burnham with a 2 1/2" drop header, King Valve, and fire sprinkler head. It was a pleasure doing a job for a guy like this - he was really stoked....so were we......Thanks again Jim.

I feel lucky to have served him
the guy really loves "the steam." I gave him plenty of valves, mud legs and flushing stations so he can maintain the little pup for years to come. Mad Dog

Snide remark......
Hey Mad Dog, Got a question on the "Feng Shui" situation there.
Walking down to the "dungeon" and straight into the fire gives off some bad Karma. Nice looking job ! Chris.0 -
What's that?
Is it some kind of dental problem?
Noel0 -
Thanks guys...yeah that was tight spot...
no other place to put the puppy...you gotta see where the water heater is shoved. good boy Paul. Mad dog

Nice, VERY NICE....
Don't see King valves too often. Sure makes it alot easier to check the pressuretrol during routine service. I installed a gate valve once and found it collects all sorts of gunk in the housing when it is installed sideways. I use ball valves now. Keep inspiring us!

my question is
How did you get hot rod to fly to NY to do your sprinkler?0 -
thanks to you Mad Dog
You are a true professional!! Beautiful drop headers and everything else A+ top notch work. If I were rich I'd tip you more..
I consider the heating in my house to be a long term investment, and after reading Dan's books and observing you guys chatting on this wall Ive learned so much - how important it is to have the job done right the first time around- so that not only will I enjoy the benefits of the fine work done on my steam system by Mad Dog but also that the next family years down the road who ever they may be will also "grow up" on steam heating done the way its supposed be!
Thanks to Noel,David Yates, Ron jr and everyone else who took the time either by email or on this wall to explain things and help me out without any conditions or self interest--you guys are true pro's
Now if I only had a snow melt system tonight!!

heres that water heater
that Mad Dog and his guys squeezed into this spot..another quality job0 -
Nice, Jim.
It's good to finally meet you. You have a nice set-up now! Pass the word to other steamer owners.
Noel0 -
Matt, YOU done good !
Having a homeowner thanking you here is the ultimate compliment!
Thanks to both of you for showing the true meaning of our "caring community". Like Taco says....Do it once, do it right. Chris.0 -
I've used ball valves before, but I'm not sure the teflon
packings will hold up under steam temps for very long. If exercised at least yearly gate valves go last for 75 years. hanks for the nice words. Mad Dog

Nice job, Matt.0 -
