    have you

    seen their demo truck?

they have working models on the truck so you can flush and test for yourself. they take large rags, balls, toys, various other stuff, and it all flushes through with ease!

Toto is just about all we install now!

    toto/kohler

The only relative companion to Toto for quality is Kohler. They aren't quite as nice, but you mentioned mid line and Kohlers price points are much nicer to deal with on most remodel jobs. That is unless the customer "has to have" that seat warmer, auto flush.....

    Caroma dual flush

The Caroma brand dual flush toilets are getting great reviews in the Pacific NW- a number of McDonald's restaurants are now using them in the Vancouver area since they are very clog resistant, flush very well and seem to be quite durable. www.caromausa.com

Here's one you don't hear about much...

I like Universal-Rundle toilets, specifically, the Atlas model. I like it because it rarely plugs up and has a forceful flush (it's actually one of the few gravity flush toilets that has a washdown flushing action).
They're also inexpensive, and, in my opinion, a rather attractive toilet.
The only negative is that U-R provides steel tank bolts, which quickly rust, but just use brass bolts instead (about $2).
