Entran Tubing Question

I'm looking to buy a home which has radiant infloor heating and on the Seller's disclosure it specifies Entran tubing. The system was installed in 1993.

Any concerns about buying the house?

I can not help with the tubing question

but I would want to know if the system has had routine treatment and maintenance. If it hasn't, I would require it to be inspected by a hydronic expert. It culd be in fine shape and it could be in need of repair. Just a tip from someone who has talked with other new homeowners who had a problem and did not ask.

    Mike?

Do you know if it is Entran II, or Entran III ? I think the III is what you want to have.

why do you suppose they disclosed that!

I've never seen any other brand of radiant products disclosed in a sellers statement :)

Is this Entran 2 tube? It should be clearly stamped. Does the home have another source of heat, forced air perhaps?

Is the tube stapled below the floor or in concrete? Could it be replaced, if needed.

How do you feel about class action lawsuits?

    Not necessarily true

Entran Delta was also orange. It appears the tubing produced by Dayco for Heatway has had little trouble.
