Hydronics Design Studio V1.11

The latest version of the Hydronics Design Studio v1.11 is now available as a free downloadable upgrade to owners of v1.01, v1.02, or v1.10.

Go to www.hydronicpros.com and click on software, then software support. You will see instructions for downloading the 8 MB upgrade v111 upgrade file.

The latest version includes two additional modules for injection mixing and buffer tank simulation.

Changes from version v1.10 to v1.11 are minor cosmetic modifications only.

You must have a previous professional version of the Hydronics Design Studio software installed to access the upgrade.

    downloaded and installed

Looks great, John. I'm going to have fun this long Thanksgiving weekend playing. One question, though. Will there be, or could there be, a future module for a printable Summary Report for, let's say; the Heat Loss analysis, showing BTU/H, BB/rm, Total gpm, Zone Organization? Not absolutely necessary, but I was just curious.

    Thank You,

    Hello Siggy,

Is there training or any support of any kind if/when I get this program? Thanks!

    HDS software

The Hydronics Design Studio software is a long term commitment for Mario and myself. We do plan a major new release for late next spring. There will be significantly discounted upgrade pricing for those who purchased earlier versions of the software.

We are discussing a "tutorial" publication that would let users get the most from the software, but for now there is the user manual and help system.

We do welcome comments and suggestions on specific tools that might be implemented as new modules in future versions. We can't make any promises other than we will certainly consider any and all suggestions.

Keep a mind set that the HDS is a "productivity tool" rather than software that forces the design along one specific path. You use it to simulate the "what ifs" as you refine a design using your own preferences and approaches.

Bottom line: We want to continue to provide a powerful and easy-to-use set of tools that will help hydronic pros design good systems.

Thanks to all those would have purchased the software, and let us know your thoughts.

    Siggy
