I have two questions (A) My boiler is 18 years old with solid state ignition what is the life time of a solid state ignition
and (B) my pressure gauge(1 pipe system) is marked 1 to 30 psig my pressuretrol is set at the lowest .5 and the diff
at 1.The boiler shuts off when the pressure shows 4 and cuts in when it shows 1, are there more precise gauges
with digital read outs or my boiler pumps too much pressure? Thanks

Is it gas or oil?
For one thing the gauge is not reading what the controls are set for, on a steam system you want to run at 2lbs off and 1/2 lb back on or as close to that as you can get it set. Let us know a little more about your system Make, Model, type of controls with some numbers then we can help you out.0 -
