Heat anticipator Q

Hi fella's,

Is it OK to see some dicoloration on the anticipator windings? I's assuming it OK as long as all the windings are intact- Thanks for any help,

    Yes

    If it is ok circuit wise. Some body may have shorted out the wires on the gas valve to see it they "Sparked" . That usually is enough to blow the anticipater wireing. It may have just got hot enough to discolor the windings. been there seen that
