You probaly get tired of explaining this but hey one more time.....
I have a two year old WeilMclain Boiler and a two pipe hot water system. the system is a single zone with continuous circulation. I read your postings about outdoor resets as "Cruse control" for the heating system. I have remodeled most of my home and insulated it well. I live in northern Ill. Are resets always a good idea in my area or is it open to debate .
I am thinking of haveing one installed if it is worthwhile and if I can find someone in my area that Knows how to properly set it up .
Thanks
dan

continuous circ w/o reset
Doesn't it tend to over-shoot a lot?
When it's warm out does your system keep circulating the unheated water?

i would recomend it
its a great way to save money, and to set the comfort level in your home to new hights,
with base board you get alot of expantion noise, due to the high temps hitting the cold pipes with the ajustable temps with outdoor reset you get a much quieter system as well as fuel savings,
based on a disign temp most of the heating season the rooms are operating above the heat loss for the room at the outdoor temp. if its 50* outside there is no reason to run 180* water thru the baseboard when you only need about 115* water to meet the heat loss,
look in the find a contractor here at this site and contact a local heating pro and have meet with you to dicuss this option for you comfort.0 -

Look down
Look at the "Crown Cayman" post below yours. The guy that installed that works in Northern Ill. and is one of the most meticulous installers and designers in the country. I'm sure he could handle an I/O reset.0 -

reset
Reset is a great benefit to your system to control comfort.
But I would add, that you adress any piping changes that may be needed to protect the boiler and changing the breeching to all fuel or B-Vent or properly insulating the breech pipe to minimize condensation.
