eccentric bushings

Do you have to use them on the return side of a 2pipe steam radiator? I have been having trouble finding them? The bushing is 11/2 x1/2. I don't see it making that big a difference since there is a good amount of water that can lay in the bottom of the radiator when using one. Thanks for your input!!!! Steve

eccentric bushings on the radiators
If you are talking about the bushing that is right in the radiator then I think it is fine. I do it all the time.
Of course the 1/2" must be the proper size to remove all of the condensate and the radiator should not be a steel fintube but a real radiator. I don't see a problem with that.

By the way do you have condensate traps on the outlet side or are you using orafices. I don't use traps anymore for many reasons. The main one being they have to replaced every 3 to 5 years. Orafices last practically forever.

do you have a sizing chart
for the orifices, or is it a trial and error thing?0 -
orafices
do you make your own? If so what do you use? Do your radiators have to be oversized to prevent steam from getting into the dry return. The radiator is pretty small, 15 sq. ft edr. The heat loss for the room calls for just over 12 sq. ft. edr.0
