i am looking at a job they want to heat the garage it is 20 by 18 feet 2 car garage what how many btus would i need it has no windows and do you think a gas wall heater would work opposed to a reznor heater

Check your local codes to see what can/can't be installed in a garage. Around here, anything that is not sealed combustion has to be a minimum of 18" off the floor. I my self wouldn't use anything that is not sealed. Your square footage would indicate something in the 15,000 to 20,000 output range. This could easily be handled by a small direct vent wall heater. Cozy or Empire come to mind as brand names and I think both would have a sealed burner design. The Btu figures above would be for maintaining a temp of 55-60*.0
