Just curious,
I am getting my new boiler replaced with a peerless pinnacle boiler. The new boiler will have a primary and secondary loop with I assume 2 circulators one for the boiler and one for the zones. At some point I was thinking I will want the upstairs on its own circulator/ thermostat.
How do you size the circulators, primary, secondary and more? It is my understanding the primary is just a small loop?

circulator sizing
It all goes to the total heating load and the GPM's required to heat the house. Your heating contractor should be taking this into consideration. The size of the zones, head loss and GPM load all contribute to circulator sizing.
