just purchased slant fin 2000 series by accident, mind was in a fog, when i wanted to get the 80 series. have 25 feet of the 200 serires for a new addition to the home and to add an additional 8-9 feet to an already existing run. (opening up the room to make 1 big room). some people are telling me the 2000 series is good while others are saying switch to 80 series. really don't want to go back to the warehouse to switch over since i will lose almost a day of work. any advice is appreciated!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
thanks,
tc

slant fin
IF the SF 2000 you have will meet the heating load requirements of the room, use it. It's smaller and more attractive than the 80 series, but you need to know the load and if it will heat the room.

baseline 2000 vs 80 series baseboard
Series 2000 baseboard will deliver 570 BTUH per foot at 180 degree water temp at a one gpm flow rate. Therefore 25 feet will give you 14,250 BTUH. Series 83A baseboard will give you 18,450 BTUH. or 730 BTUH per foot at the same temp and flow .
So now all you need is to know how much heat the room needs. Then you can decide.0
