riello has a new post purge control for direct vent that is now avaliable. carlin has had trouble with their air intake box. both are good burners. but i have found riello to be bulletproof in other applications. in either case use the areo cowl termination fitting not the field. to avoid contaminating the intake air.

I have installed many direct vent Buderus boilers.
Without any hesitation, I recommend a Riello BF burner and Aerocowl termination vent.

    Intake Problem

Mike , could you explained the problems with the Field system ? Has it been a reported problem or recall ? I would hate to loose the Field , it seems to be quiet over the Areo..... Thanks

    the problems....

I have had are Cross-contamination w/ the consentric design especially if the hood is closer to the ground. The Aerocowl wants 2 seperate openings. Seperate intake and exhaust less headaches...the Buderus rep. here in NH. tells installers directly to NOT use the Field hood. kpc
