Having piped the last few installations
exactly as described in Dan's book, I have had no problems. I am currently replacing the boiler for my daughter and have come across a different scenario. If you just use the one draw off for purging, how do you solder the last joint on an existing zone that is being completed after the system has been activated?
Will a 3/4" "drip" tee work? I know it solves my pressure problem when soldering a closed loop but will the pit-cock last under 180 to 200 degree water? I realize adding tees and draw-offs perform the same function but I am trying to stick with Dan's message of using the one draw-off and saving the funds for something else. NO, it is not because I'm cheap--just frugal.
Thanks,
Jack0
