Indirect for Under the Munchkin

DaveGateway

Looks like I'm going with a Munchkin for my radiant radiant needs, but I would also like to consider an indirect water heater for the many baths that my wife and kids take. With a whirlpool tub I think a 40 gal plus is a must.

Is there a make/model out there that is more laid down so I can mount it under the munchkin?

put a Munchkin on top of a Buderus LT series tank.

The LT is constructed to hold a Buderus oil fired boiler which means you could stack 400 Munchkins on it!

Peerless makes a 30gal SS tank that fits under their version of the munchkin on a stand. If you want SS, Crown's Mega-store has a 40gal horizontal and a 53gal version was comming out. Remember you'll need around 40"+ depth of floor space and all the hookups are in the rear. Of course, there's always Vie$$mann. But since a horizontal is about double the lendth of a Munchkin, you might want to consider a regular standup tank that can go 60 gals.+ as long as you have the ceiling height.

    Indirect Tank

Our Super-Stor SSU 30LB (low boy)is a terrific mounting stand for the Munchkin. It is only 28 1/2 in. tall and 23 1/4 in in diameter. Put some double sided tape or Velcro on the feet of the boiler and it will sit on there quite solidly. Include the Vision 1 package and the wiring to the indirect is simplified as well.
