    Looks Good

The Mills was one of the best boilers in its day. It will be interesting to see how much better the Buderus performs.

    what did...

they do for DHW before? How big is the new Alliance? It appears to be an old gravity system....did you prioritize the DHW zone? And is there some type of system by-pass at all? I realize the 215 can handle low return temp...just didn't know how low for how long. How many sections is the 215. Nice neat job! kpc

    By pass and such

If this was a gravity, someone put a circ on it befor I came there, it had an old taco 110 on it. The house sized up for a 4 section buderus. The indirect is a 40 gallon, replaces a 30 gallon gas water heater. And yes, it is on a priority. There is a bypass loop, its tucked in behind the boiler. If you talk to a rep from Buderus, they claim the 215 don't need a bypass because of the internal pipeing and the silicon in the cast, but old habbits die hard and I hate to go back and redo something I just did. The best part abou this job, this was a solo project of about 2.5 days, except for getting the old boiler out, good thing there was no stairs.

    electric

Is that the power switch in that 4sq.box on the ceiling. Looks like the copper supply pipe is right against it. If it is as tight as it looks that kind of bends NEC disconnect accessability regs
