the only ....
thermometer i have ever used has been a Raytek...about a $100.00... works ok...kpc0 -
Ditto...
Raytek Raynger with laser pointer. They do have some other real fancy models with memory etc..
I used to have one like you're looking at. It worked fine although it had a relatively small apperture. Worked great for shooting small diameter tube, but don't do well on large, distant targets.

I have a Fluke 65
and it works fine. You can definatly see an accuracy difference between checking dark and light colored objets, but I'm sure that applies to all IR thermometers.0 -
i use the fluke 65 also. just like amex, i never leave home without it. i do a healthy mix of commercial hvac as well as refrigeration and so far no complaints.0 -
Raytech
I have a raytech and it workd well but don't work on shiney objects such as sheet metal but if you put a piece of black tape on it the its ok.0 -
RAYTEK MT4
I have a Raytek MT4 and I'm very happy with it. The nicest feature I find is that it has great accuracy, reliability, and it's the smallest one in size.0
