Boiler to Tankless Heater

I've got to hook up a couple of heat exchangers to there respective NG HWT's. In this way they will use the boiler as the 'master' source of heat during the heating season until the NG takes over during the summer months. I guess these are referred to as a tankless heater. I've never installed one, now I have to tackle two!
The boiler connection on both of these seems pretty straight forward, the domestic side is what I was wondering about. Using an aquastat and say a 15/42SF could you use the lower tapping (drain) and the hot side, and circulate using this path? Any ideas, drawings or links would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Ian
