recently looked at a steam replacement job the owner didn't really like any of my thoughs has a old arcoliner boiler water line is about 49 inches he also has some old steel wet returns that look pretty bad. i suggested to replace them with the boiler replacement to avoid making them dry return that are most likly mudded up to avoid this replacement which after explaining i complated the easier of which would be a false water line it doesn't replace those old lines but it avoid all the work 'by putting back under any thoughts on this i gave him a fair round house price and he said he would sell the house instead it was not a huge price either the whole basement is finished no acces except through the main home and a plus for removal is white carpet in the basemet oh yeah all those 36 inch high returns are all behind drywall on 2/3 of the base and the rest behind bookshelves and to boot a 1/2 baseboard system off of the abanoded sidearm tankless which owner say doesn't really work which means it doesn't work at all a real beauty that's in advance do i only get get leads like this or is it a blessin ps all the piping is original meaning all the wet returns there is a big puke stain behind the boiler where about 3 ft of return rotted and was replaced no hartford loop andlow water cutoff is installed in the boiler which is so tight you could not repair or replace without a mircale
