Riello burner sputter

I could swear that this Riello F3 used to shut down to a solid stop. Now, when I listen to it at the end of a cycle I can hear the burner run on and sputter for a couple of seconds after the power is shut off.

Is this normal or is there something that should be looked at?

    Thanks

Can you give me a hint as to what the service guy should be looking for? Or how can I describe the problem better so they bring whatever parts they need?

    pump

sounds like it is the pump cut off and your getting residual oil drip on shut down i'm not sure if there is a delay valve which could also be the culprit if he services riello he should have everything you need good luck

Could be a lot of things....

but i cant see it and i cant hear it so most would be a guess, it could be a bad air situation or pump or bad nozzle formming a coke ring. your best bet is to get a licenced heat pro in there and check it out the right way, fixed and tested, when was the last time it was cleaned?it should be done each year for reliability, good luck...
