LWCO over the external LWCO that you see on most boilers?
I know in some states a LWCO is required by law.. Is the internal probe type satisfactory? How does one test it?

LWCO
The big advantage is that you don't have to blow it down. We use them all the time. Most have a test button on them. We test them every service check by blowing down the boiler or mud leg and check current.
But remember one thing....if you use a probe type electronic LWCO, pull the probe and clean it as part of your yearly maintenance program. Use never-sieze on the thread and removal is a snap.
