hydronic tempering tank suppliers

Heat Transfer Products makes a nice one. 20 gallon, stainless steel capacity only. Virtually all the water heater manufactures can supply blank insulated tanks in many sizes. Larger sizes are available in ASME if neeeded.

I often a basic electric waater heater tank. Most have at least 4 connections, insulated with 1-1/2" of foam or better. Generally tanks 50 gallon or below have 3/4" taps. I use the 1" element holes for more capacity.

Here are a few of my latest tempering/ buffer tank installations. Hope this helps.

I'm tying a radiant floor zone into an existing how water boiler and plan to use a tempering tank and mixing valve arrangement. Problem I have is finding a good supplier for a tempering tank... preferably something that's factory insulated with multiple ports and of course, economical.

Any good leads would be appreciated.

    Some ideas

Heat Transfer Products makes a nice 20 gallon stainless tank. Four large connections, and some smaller control and drain ports.

Most all the water heater manufactures can supply blank, insulated tanks in a variety of sizes and tap configurations.

I often use basic electric water heater tanks, sometimes using the 1" element connections for better flow.

The Clean Burn waste oil boiler has a 120 gallon Raypak tank slung below for a tempering/ buffer tank.

Here are a couple of my most recent jobs. Hope this helps.
