You know the importance of marketing. You could have had an old noisy fan available there to blow on them to compare to other heating choices.

    Home shows

We had a booth at the local home show last weekend. It's a long couple of days, but if your looking for a way to put your business in front of thousands of potential customers I'd recomend checking it out.

We were able to put together a working radiant floor display that people could touch and feel.We had people taking off their shoes and walking around on our warm toasty floor. There is no better way to let potential customers experience the feel of radiant than first hand.

A special thanks to Ciny Albright and others of Wirsbo, our rep Dave Maracott,as well as my primary supplier Shetucket supply for helping me get it all together at the last minute.

    GOOD JOB!

I can't begin to tell you how important it is for you to get your company out in front of the public at home shows!

Yes, it's a long time away from the shop, it's expensive, and you get some pretty strange questions and comments, but it's a necessary evil. Check with your distributors and find out if the lines you install provide co-op advertising funds, which most manufacturers do. Literature, give-away's with your company name or logo and phone number are great. Get some pictures of past jobs you have done, and get them enlarged, and display them. Get on the speaker's list and run a homeowner's seminar on home comfort. Try to collect as many leads as you can; after all, one sold job pays off your investment in the show.

That's a great start, John, kudos!
