    level bidding

Sure it would, in a perfect world. But most architects don't know the facts nor use a mechanical engineer to design heating system. They don't talk to the owner/occupants for input on things like desired comfort levels, lifestyle and living habits, etc. I will not bid a job if I can't sit with the owner and design a system to meet their needs and lives style. In fact, I rarely go after such jobs.....a real pro should never be looking for work, it should come looking for him.

    A fellow wallie

Tom Meyer of Precision Hydronics, tmeyer@precisionhydronics.com, does just that, along with his RPA training work. I have seen some of his designs and they are truely turnkey. On a really big house it might be worth the money to have him or someone equally as good do a design to compare it to yours or mine just to make sure we weren't missing anything expensive. Tom is from Wisconsin but with modern communications how hard is it for him or you to transfer a cad drawing?
