Tekmar 354

I had a call today about a Tekmar 354 3 way Floating Action Mixing Control that is not working. It was installed in 1996 and the installer did not leave any literature with it. I am familiar with all the new Tekmar product lines but I am not very well versed with the analog systems.
The call was that there was no heat in the two radiant zones but the rest of the house was heating fine. The homeowner informed me that last week lighting hit the neighbors home which is about 100 yards away. This fried a couple of circuit breakers in this house and the microwave. When I went down to look at the Tekmar control the WWSD (warm weather shut down) light and Demand light where blinking continuously. I was hoping someone might know if this is some sort of error code.
Thanks again,
Jamie Pompetti

Error Message
Jamie,
The Heat Demand and WWSD lights blinking is an indication or Error Message that the Supply Sensor has an Open Circuit fault. Sounds like all you need is a new supply sensor. Hope this helps.

He will help you.
I have a Data Brochure for the 354 and none of the error messages matchup to what you have described, the closest one is the WWSD flashing and the Power steady, which is the code for outdoor sensor short circuit.
There is nothing that has the WWSD and the Heat Demand light doing anything at the same time.
I would assume that you have already tried to run it though a "test" cycle and have cycled the power off and on.
You could also try unhooking the sensors one by one to see if that does anything.
Good luck!!!!

Thanks guys! I am going there first thing Monday morning. I do have an extra supply sensor so I will try that but I am 100% sure that the Heat Demand and WWSD lights are blinking togehter. I did turn the power off and try to run it through the test mode and nothing happened.
Thanks for the help,
Jamie

Glenn is right...
...looks like a Supply Sensor Open Circuit. Check all connections and splices for this Sensor. If all fails, get a resistance reading in Ohms across it and note the actual Supply Temperature. This will tell you whether or not the Sensor is actually bad.0 -
Error Codes
Jamie,
Here is a scan of the error codes for a 354 Tekmar. These are from Data brochure D354 dated 02/94. Hope this helps.
